This spring ( 2011 ) started off with the annual running of the Leprechaun Run to benifit a local animal shelter. As was expected it was a great turnout of 55 autos and their enthusiastic owners. The afternoon was spent motoring through the countryside enjoying the twists and turns of the northern Kentucky backroads. Afterward the participants gathered at Molly Malones and enjoyed great food and conversation along with contestant awards. All in all a day well spent driving and raising funds, 25.00 dollars at a time for the League for Animal welfare.

October 9th and 10th 2010 - had me participating in a rally in Florence Kentucky to benifit the Susan G Komen foundation. Friday nite was spent " bracket " drag strip racing at Thornhill drag strip to determine the starting lineup for Saturdays rally event. Saturday the rally lasted all day and covered 200 or so miles while canvassing greater Cincinnati and the surrounding countryside. It was a great event with great people all for an admirable cause.......minimal fee of ..100.00 dollars. A small price to pay for a great time

To illustrate the power of many individuals coming together for a greater goal, I participated Saturday in a " road rally " in northern KY. For as little as 25.00 dollars I enjoyed an afternoon of camaraderie with fellow auto enthusiasts ( Porsche,Austin Healy, Mini, Honda 2000's, Lotus, and Miata's to name a few ) and rallying through the backwoods at " enhanced " speeds. Nothing quite like steering an oversized go-kart at over the edge speeds to put winter behind you! .....But the greater goal achieved was the individual 25.00 dollar registration fees collected and grouped together to contribute a 1300.00 donation to a local animal shelter. ......
